Well like all the rest of you, I seem to put TONS of pins on Pinterest, some I get around to doing, some I don't and some are just TOO EXPENSIVE! I wanted to do these cute little cake pops I saw the other day on a Pinterest pin, but when I started looking up what I would need to make something like that, it ended up becoming quite a bill! I had already made the mistake of telling my sweet little girl I would make them with her...WHAT TO DO!!! I would have to buy moulds and all kinds of things, plus, doing this from scratch was going to take a living decade! So, I started thinking and came up with this!!! It worked out GREAT! I think you will LOVE IT! It is SO affordable! You might already have most of what you need at home! AND it's much faster than you would think! They turn out looking SO professional! I guess sometimes even I luck out when trying something new! ;) So here is how it's done!
You will need:
Doughnut holes. (SOOO MUCH EASIER!!! no cooking, no mess and NO expensive moulds to buy!)
Corn Skewers. (AMAZING! Just the right size and they were a buck fifty per bag of 50!)
Have a batch of marshmallow fondant made (I will post a link for this here at a later date. For now I am sure if you look up "marshmallow fondant" it will come up pretty easily! SO easy to make too! Just marshmallows, water and powdered sugar!) -separate fondant into 3 pieces, leave one white, then color the second orange and the third piece cut in half and color one half green and one half black. (be sure to keep them in separate Ziploc bags while you are not using them so they don't dry out.)
A Jar of Pillsbury butter cream icing.
Some general fondant tools. a cutting board, rolling pin, paint brush and leaf cutter.
OK! Now that we have all we need lets get movin!
First, we will make the Ghost :)
Start by taking a doughnut hole and frosting just the top of it with butter cream icing.
This gives the fondant something to stick to.
Next Take a 1" ball of the white fondant and roll out flat, being careful to keep it in a circular shape.
Gently lift fondant with finger tips-checking to make sure the size is of disk is large enough to cover the doughnut-and lay over the doughnut hole.
Arrange the ghosts skirt
place skewer into cake pop-being careful to make sure it is placed right in the center.
Make eyes and a mouth. Stick it to your ghost using your paint brush and a small dab of water as your glue.
Now you want to take your paint brush and gently brush a light coating of water onto fondant.
This removes the leftover powdered sugar and gives your ghost a finished look.
Now the pumpkins!
Prepare doughnut same as before. Now when you lay your fondant onto your doughnut, gently tuck the fondant at the bottom with fingertips.
Use a pizza cutter to gently trim around pumpkin.
Place skewer into center of pumpkin.
Make a stem for pumpkin, then cut a leaf with your leaf cutter and add to pumpkin.
Using pizza cutter, cut out triangles for eyes and nose and a half circle for the mouth.
add a light cleaning of water as before and there's your pumpkin!
There you have it!!!

Cutest and easiest cake pops ever!!! And if you wanna wrap these babies up and give them out to friends, it's SOOOO easy! I don't know where all this inspiration came from today, but I am liking it!
Let them sit on a piece of wax paper to dry for about an hour.
Then take Ziploc sandwich bags and cut off the zipper top.
Place cake pop neatly into baggy and seal with twist tie!
Now they are gift ready!!! Hope you liked this fun little project! Thanks for reading!!!
